Maine Coon Stud Service Requirements
To ensure a successful and safe breeding process, we require the following:
- Registered Queen: The queen must be a registered pedigree Maine Coon with a proven lineage.
- Health Certificate: A recent veterinary health check confirming the queen is in good health.
- Vaccinations: Up-to-date core vaccinations, including Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia.
- FIV & FeLV Testing: A negative test for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is required.
- Parasite Treatment: The queen must be treated for internal and external parasites before arrival.
- Claw Trimming: To prevent injury, the queen’s claws should be trimmed before visiting the stud.
- Pedigree Documentation: The owner must provide proof of registration and lineage.
- Before bringing your queen for stud service, please ensure that she has been in heat for at least two days. Many owners mistake affectionate behavior for a heat cycle, but a true heat includes persistent calling, restlessness, and clear mating behaviors. If your queen is not in proper heat, mating may not be successful.

Breeding Terms & Conditions:
- The queen will stay with us for a minimum of 3 days for the first mating attempt.
- If the queen does not conceive after the first attempt, a second mating session is free of charge.
- If pregnancy does not occur on the second attempt, the queen should return on the first day of her next heat cycle and stay for at least 5 days.
- If the queen fails to conceive after three attempts, we recommend a fertility check by a veterinarian before future breedings.
